Developed by Dr. Brian Pijanowski (Purdue University)

Overview

Use the Land Transformation Model to understand what the land cover will look like in your community in the future under three different land use scenarios: business as usual, rapid urban expansion, and biofuels expansion. The model uses past trends of land use change to predict future land use cover types.

Features

  • Project land uses in 2020, 2030, 2040, and 2050 based on patterns of land use change
  • Compare current and future land cover types in your watershed
  • Save and print maps and data for planning and decision making
